Geneva / Cannes – May 2025 – This May, Puerto Rican entrepreneur Jesus D. Suarez captured international attention with his influential presence at two major global events: the 78th World Health Assembly (WHA78) in Geneva and the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where he attended as a special guest of the festival’s executive committee.
Representing the private healthcare sector on the world stage, Suarez contributed to critical discussions at the World Health Organization through his leadership of Renaissance Medical Group (RMG). His organization advocates a comprehensive “360 model” of integrative healthcare—focused on improving accessibility, sustainability, and cultural inclusion in public health strategies.
After making an impact in Geneva, Suarez appeared on the red carpet in Cannes, where he was honored with the Orion Philanthropic Award. The award recognized his humanitarian leadership and the powerful social influence of his work at the intersection of medicine, the arts, and community development. The presentation took place during the Cannes International Fashion Show, where Suarez proudly represented Puerto Rico on an international platform.
