DOHA – June 16, 2025 — Qatar’s real estate sector continues to demonstrate resilience and investor confidence, with total trading volume exceeding QAR 920 million (approximately $252.5 million USD) in just one week, according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Justice’s Real Estate Registration Department.
The figures, covering transactions from June 8 to June 14, reflect sustained activity in both residential and commercial segments, driven by strong demand, strategic developments, and favorable regulatory conditions. 
Strong Performance Across Key Municipalities
The weekly report highlighted Doha, Al Rayyan, and Al Daayen as the top-performing municipalities in terms of transaction volume and value. Significant deals were recorded in both developed and under-development zones, including luxury villas, multi-use buildings, and strategic land plots.
“We’re seeing continued demand from both local and international investors, particularly in Doha and Lusail, driven by Qatar’s long-term economic vision and growing expat population,” said Abdullah Al-Kuwari, a Doha-based property consultant.

- Residential Villas in premium zones of The Pearl and West Bay
- Commercial plots and mixed-use buildings in Al Sadd and Msheireb
- Undeveloped land parcels earmarked for hospitality and retail projects in Lusail
The data suggests a balanced mix of end-user and investor interest, with mid-range residential properties gaining traction among Qatari nationals and GCC buyers, while commercial and hospitality plots attracted institutional interest.
Sector Confidence Remains High
Real estate continues to be a cornerstone of Qatar’s post-World Cup economic strategy, buoyed by major infrastructure projects and regulatory reforms aimed at attracting foreign investment. Notably, Qatar’s decision to expand freehold ownership zones and allow more flexibility for long-term residency through property ownership has had a tangible impact.
“The momentum is encouraging,” said Fatima Al Ansari, an economist at Qatar National Bank. “With government-backed projects like the 2030 Vision and ongoing developments in Lusail, the sector is well-positioned for stable growth.”
