Introduced in 2021, the Greggs Pledge outlines ten initiatives aimed at enhancing the planet, as detailed in its annual sustainability report. Focused on fostering stronger and healthier communities, ensuring environmental sustainability, and promoting responsible business practices, the pledge includes objectives such as minimizing environmental footprint, expanding healthier menu options, and transitioning to 100% renewable energy usage.

In its fourth annual sustainability report, Greggs highlights its advancements toward the 2025 sustainability targets while identifying key areas of focus for the upcoming year. Notably, the bakery chain has expanded its Greggs Foundation Breakfast Club initiative, adding 107 new clubs during the reporting period and now serving over 62,000 children daily. Looking ahead, Greggs remains committed to promoting regenerative agriculture and addressing biodiversity loss, recognizing the crucial role of suppliers and farmers in driving positive change.
