Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Commissioner General of Expo 2020 Dubai, conducted an official visit to Expo City Dubai, where he was briefed on key development projects aligned with the city’s new master plan. The plan aims to position Expo City as a global hub and model for smart, inclusive, and sustainable urban development.
Sheikh Nahyan was received by Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and CEO of Expo City Dubai Authority, along with members of the city’s leadership team. The tour covered several major locations across Expo City, highlighting its transformation from the original Expo 2020 Dubai site into a forward-looking urban destination.
Throughout the visit, Sheikh Nahyan commended the city’s focus on sustainability, innovation, and collaboration—values that align with the broader national vision of the United Arab Emirates. He acknowledged Expo 2020 Dubai as a pivotal milestone that contributed to the UAE’s international reputation as a future-oriented, progress-driven nation. 
Sheikh Nahyan also emphasized the roles of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, in supporting and leading the nation’s development through visionary policies and initiatives, including Expo 2020 and its legacy.
During the visit, Sheikh Nahyan was presented with a copy of “Witness: How a Nation Creates Its Own Future”, a publication that chronicles the UAE’s development journey and the impact of Expo 2020. He described the book as a tribute to the legacy of the UAE’s Founding Fathers and their enduring influence on the country’s leadership and values.
Reem Al Hashimy highlighted Sheikh Nahyan’s longstanding support for Expo City and noted the project’s role as a platform for international cooperation and cultural exchange. She stated that Expo City’s legacy extends beyond its infrastructure to its social and cultural contributions, serving as a hub for global talent and innovation.
